How to Install Your TruGard Shower Kit
1️⃣ Pre-Fit & Prepare the Shower Tray
• Measure and cut the TruSlope Shower Tray for your desired placement.
• For curbless models, position the linear drain and cut a trench into the shower tray for the drain flanges to sit flush.
• Place and seal the TruSlope Shower Tray using modified thin-set mortar and embed it securely.
• Apply TruSeal Adhesive Caulk or thin-set mortar at all butt joints to create a seamless bond.
2️⃣ Install the Drain System
• Position the Drain Grate of your choice and mark the trench cut-out area.
• Apply modified thin-set mortar and securely bond the TruGard Drain Flange & Plug.
• Embed the TruLine Linear Drain into the thin-set mortar, ensuring a secure fit.
3️⃣ Install the TruGard Waterproofing System
• Cut and apply the TruGard Waterproofing Membrane to cover the shower tray and extend at least 3” up the walls.
• Apply modified thin-set mortar to the floor and wall intersections using a 1/4” x 3/8” square-notched trowel.
• Use TruSeal Adhesive Sealant to bond all corners and seams, ensuring a completely waterproof barrier.
4️⃣ Install the Shower Curb (Standard Kits Only)
• Measure and cut the two 30” x 4 ½” x 5” shower curbs using a standard handsaw.
• Apply thin-set mortar to the curb bottom and ends before pressing firmly into place.
